A Pipeline Contractor fabricades and installs pipelines for the conveyance of fluids such as water, gas or petroleum, or for the containment or protection of any other material, including the application of protective coatings or systems and the trenching, boring, shoring, backfilling, compacting, paving and surfacing necessary to complete the installation of such pipelines.
New C-22 Asbestos Abatement Classification
The new C-22, Asbestos Abatement Contractors Classification became effective on January 1, 2015. This classification doesn't replace the existing ASB - Asbestos Certificaton. A Contractor can hold either of these Asbestos abatement work authorizations depending on the contractor individual business and licensure needs.
An Asbestos Abatement Contractor performs abatement including containment, encapsulation or removal and disposal of asbestos containing construction materials in and on buildings and structures.
All work performed and all documentation prepared by asbestos abatement contractor shall be done in accordance with regulations and requirements of the Department of Industrial Relations' Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
The C-22 Contractor operates as a stand-alone specialty contractor classification for asbestos abatement work, regardless of any other classifications that may be held by a Licensed Contractor and functions within the scope of the Contractor's DOSH registration.
